Combat training

Tid: Last Sunday of the month from 10-13
Sted: Viking Museum Ladby

See an actual Viking battle!

Gain insight into the combat techniques and weapons of the Vikings when the fight group Pàlna-Tòki’s Free Men do their battle training on the museum grounds.

When they line up at the Viking Museum, it will be in authentic dress and with authentic weapons. They will fight with one-hand axes, two-hand axes/ Dane axes, one-hand spears, two-hand spears, swords and Saxon knives.

During their training routines, the group will demonstrate different techniques such as line battle, larger groups that meet each other face-to-face, and “circles”, where it is warrior against warrior in single combat until the best warrior is left standing.

You will have the chance to ask questions and chat with the fighters. Children and other curious souls can get close up to the warriors.

The Viking fight group Pàlna-Tòki’s Free Men consists of a mixture of strong men and fearless women from 18 to 65 years. The group from Eastern Funen has existed for a couple of years, but the members have anywhere from 1 to 12 years combat experience.
